It grinds our gears to see how selfish some drivers can be when it comes to their convenience without taking into account the safety and the convenience of others. As if human parking and double parking without leaving a contact number are not bad enough, a driver in KL recently decided to park at the junction.

In a dashcam footage shared by the Twitter page ISU SEMASA VIRAL, a black Toyota Innova is seen stopping suddenly at a junction in Desa Pandan, KL before a passenger got out of the car.

No apologies were given at all, as the passenger casually walked away to the McDonald’s nearby. The driver of the Innova, however, remained in the car. This obviously did not sit well with the dashcam owner, who drove by angrily while saying,

“You can’t park here. Go to the front!”

Nothing new in Desa Pandan

The incident took place on Saturday (March 18), but many Malaysians are still expressing their anger towards the selfish duo who parked at a spot that may cause an accident.

“This is common in Desa Pandan, where it’s famous for double park or parking wherever they see fit.”

“Unethical. This is troubling other road users. The kind of driver who conveniences himself but trouble others. If I see him, I would’ve honked louder as a warning.”

“I’ve always maintained the gap with the front driver. If he acts like this, it’s easier for me to go around. If it’s too close, you have to reverse your car.”

“I would’ve honked longer and stared at the driver.”

“Stupid driver. He put on the signal only after he was honked.”

It’s definitely not easy to look for a parking spot, especially during peak hours but that does not grant anyone the right to park anywhere they deem fit, even when it can endanger other road users. It’ll only cause more nuisance when accidents happen just because you needed that 5 minutes of convenience.
