Everyone wants to be a millionaire. While some work for years and most of their lives to get there, others manage to quickly reach their goals due to sudden opportunities and other factors.

One man in Indonesia became an overnight millionaire after ‘luck’ literally fell from the sky onto his home.

As according to Tribun News, 33-year-old Josua Hutagalung from North Sumatera became a millionaire after he sold a meteorite that fell onto his house for RM7.60 million to a meteorite specialist in Bali named Jared Collins. The meteorite had fallen through Josua’s roof, causing a hole, and landed 15cm into the ground next to his house.

The meteorite is said to be about 4.5 billion years old and is classified as CM1/2 carbonaceous Chondrite, a rarely found rock. Depending on its size, it can be sold to up to RM7.59 million or RM3,514 per gram.

The meteorite contains metals from space which can also be sold at RM4,105 per gram.

Josua shared that the meteorite he found was a good 2.1 kgs in weight and was still hot to the touch. It also flaked when touched.

What an unusual and unexpected way to become a millionaire!
