A man has caused an outcry online after he was recorded ignoring the smoking ban, enjoying his cigarette at his table and at the same time stroking his cute pet dog which was sitting on a chair beside him.
He was criticized for his insensitivity and inconsiderate by bringing a dog to the restaurant that is often visited by all Malaysians. He also blatantly ignored the 3-meter smoking rule which added the fuel to the outburst.
The dog is also a secondhand smoker in this incident, so kesian the dog too, haih.
In the post that has since gone viral, the individual that highlighted to incident wrote,
“Such a bad attitude. Not only is he smoking, but he also brought a dog to lepak at the mamak. I don’t mind if the dog is placed inside its carrier but in this case, the dog was sitting on the chair and at times had its paws the table.”
As of now, the video has been viewed more than 200,000 times. However, some who have commented on the video highlighted that the restaurant is not a mamak, instead, it is an Indian restaurant. Milosuam also confirms this. Whoa, what a twist to the story!

Whether the restaurant is a mamak or an Indian restaurant, smoking within the vicinity of an eatery is still an offence and bringing your pet there is very unhygienic as it could contaminate the food served there.
What is your opinion on this incident? Should the man be blamed for his acts or should he be allowed to do whatever he pleases? Is there a way to make the enforcement of the smoking ban better? Share with us your thoughts in the comment section.
