The security guard in Selangor who engaged in a physical fight with an MMA fighter whom he called “sissy” has broken the silence and apologised to all Malaysians for his misbehaviour.

24-year-old Muhammad Alim Muhamad Adnizam said that he was embarrassed of the fight, especially when he had to face his neighbours.

He admitted being short-tempered

Alim said the fight erupted due to a misunderstanding between him and Tony, the MMA fighter, and the fight took place after Alim had just finished his shift. While Alim admitted that he is short-tempered, he explained that he wouldn’t have gone amok if no one had triggered him.

Alim also clarified that he was not fired from his job but merely transferred to another location, which he was grateful for.

According to him, the matter was settled after Tony and he lodged a police report at Bandar Kinrara Police Station in Puchong. Both parties shook hands and made a deal not to post the video. However, the video still went viral, and Alim’s friend informed him about it a few days later.

Like it or not, Alim had to deal with the embarrassment, especially when his relatives asked him about the matter, and when he had to face his neighbours, as he lives in a flat with his family.

“Then my uncle and relatives started asking what had happened. I didn’t expect it to go that viral. I was embarrassed too because I live in a flat with my family, and there are a lot of people there, but

“I had to put on a brave face because what’s done is done,” he said.

Alim also highlighted that he knew about the comments online, but so far, he has not seen any insulting comments, except those who advised and criticised him, which he deemed common.

“It’s embarrassing, especially since it was a petty matter”

Alim also pointed out that it was inconvenient for him to share more details about the matter as the police is still investigating it, but he said he had learned a lesson, which is to control his temper. He reflected and admitted that it was shameful, given how minor the matter was.

“Whether you’re right or wrong, don’t go amok. This is the time where everything goes viral.”

“I would also like to apologise to all Malaysians for what had happened,” Alim said, as reported by Harian Metro.

Alim received 4 stitches on his lips after the fight.
