And if you are a dog lover, you certainly wouldn’t be able to resist those puppy dog eyes they always give you!

But they are more than just our furry companions, in fact this heroic dog caught on camera showed his protective side to his family by making sure that his little buddy was safe from harm.

In the 18-second video, a blue colour car is approaching and wants to turn the corner which would crash into the child.

This would inevitably cause the child to sustain injuries, but before the car has the chance to turn the corner, the faithful dog sees the threat and intervenes by jumping up to stop the car. Bravo!

Upon seeing the dog, the car immediately stops to avoid crashing into the dog. That’s probably when they realise that the dog stopped them in the nick of time from colliding with the child. The post has since gone viral, with netizens praising the dog for his quick thinking and heroic actions.

Some of them said, “Animals also have a sense of responsibility and caring towards their humans.” “I was so touched by what the dog did,” “What an amazing dog, now I feel like taking one as a pet!” Some others are skeptical about video and speculate that it may just be an act.

Regardless, we all know dogs are reliable pets that always have their owner’s best interest first.

Don’t you agree that dogs are just wonderful creatures?
