This little wooden studio is actually a hidden library tucked away in the forest of New York State, according to Bored Panda.
And true to its identity, it’s named ‘Hemmelig Rom’ which is Norwegian for ‘secret room’.
The library already looks incredible in the photos, one can imagine how jaw-dropping it is for book lovers to be actually standing on its wooden floors.
The discreet library which also serves as a guesthouse is made from oak wood and is surrounded by oak trees. Away from the noise pollution of the hustle and bustle of the city, this little baby is perfect for those who just want to get away from it all and indulge in their page-to-page journey.
Hemmelig Rom measures to about 200 square meters and is designed by a US firm called Studio Padron.
The little black cabin contains a bed, an armchair, a desk and even comes complete with a wood-burning stove to keep you warm and send you back in time. Every thing you’ll need to snuggle up to your book and enjoy endless reading.
So if you are ever in the area or really could use some alone time, this hidden gem would be truly ideal. And as a book lover, I’m definitely saving this in my bucket list.
Surrounded by nature — views of trees, fallen leaves, and snow, surrounded by countless pages of tales and stories, soft warm cushions to snuggle into, I know where I would be headed for my next getaway.
