In less than a week, most of us will carry out our due diligence and vote during the GE15, in hope of a change for the betterment of the fate of our country. Meanwhile, most politicians are still campaigning around to convince the rakyat why they should be the next government.
As for Pakatan Harapan’s Hannah Yeoh, the campaign continues, and despite the heavy rain last night (November 13) in Taman Bukit Maluri, Segambut, KL, the weather did not deter her will to carry on with the campaign. Similarly, the heavy rainfall did not prompt the audience to leave the scene.
Her talk was scheduled to begin at 8:30 pm, but it started to rain 30 minutes earlier. Refusing to leave their seats, most of the attendees sought shelter under their umbrellas and stayed at the scene, despite the lack of shelter. Hannah, who is humbled by the support of the Malaysians took to her Instagram account this morning (November 14) and thanked wonderful supporters.
“No free food, no lucky draw, and no bus to ferry them.”
The MP for Segambut dubbed the incident as “the fighting spirit within Malaysians to rise against all odds” and said,
“Come what may, you can count on them to do their part.”
In the hope to win the election and change the fate of the country, Hannah urged fellow Malaysians to hang in there and convince them that they can once again gain victory by voting on the historical day itself, which is slated to happen on November 19. Using the rainy night as a metaphor to persuade the Malaysians, Hannah also said,
“The dark clouds of Sheraton move will soon blow away.”
“After the rain, the sun comes”
Hannah’s appreciation post on Instagram this morning was met with many praises from Malaysians who mostly highlighted their desire to see the right party win the election, as well as expressing their support towards her.
In the meantime, Malaysians who were present during the talk also thanked Hannah for capturing the image and said that the weather itself would not stop them from attempting to change the fate of the country.
Were you part of the attendees of the talk in Taman Bukit Maluri yesterday? As GE15 is just a few days away, are you ready to cast the ballot?
