This person is an exemplary employer!

In a viral post, an employer used Facebook to advice her employees and followers to always put family first before the company.

Charity Delmo wrote that she had hired them to be a good provider to their family but it doesn’t mean that they have to forgo their family responsibilities. She advised them to always put their families’ needs first over the company’s needs. She said in her post,

“So, when the time comes to choose between attending your sons and daughters’ school activities over a client’s needs, if you have to choose between your wife or your husband’s needs over mine, your boss… please choose them.”

Of course, some employers will not understand Charity’s views but she said that she would rather close the company instead of seeing her employees miss their family duties.

She then continued,

“You see, not all employers will understand my leadership principles but I would rather close this company than see you miss your kids’ school activities because you have to be in a meeting.”

She advised them that their family is their first home before the company became their second home. Charity then noted that a person who is happy at home is also most likely happy at work too. True that!

She finally ended the post by urging her employers and followers to go home and be present with their families.

“So, go home. Be home. Your work can wait. I can wait. Your family, the home that you built, once broken, will never be the same again. You will never be the same again.”

At the time of writing, her post has garnered over 45k shares and more than 6.8k comments.

Under this inspiring post, many netizens applauded Charity’s attitude and praised her principles as a leader. Some of the comments are as follows:

FYI, Charity Delmo is the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and founder of Ideal Visa Consultancy in the Philippines. Following the popularity of her heartfelt post, Charity received a call from Good Morning America, the famed American talk show, in regards to the post. Congrats, Charity!

Charity’s attitude towards her employees is something every employer should adopt, especially since there are many unfortunate cases of overworked employees. Not only that, it’s always a joy to work for a considerate and empathetic employer.

We’re pretty sure her employees’ productivity will increase since they have such a considerate boss!
