With Tesla recently emerging in the Malaysian market, many (we mean those who can afford) have been eyeing on the cars. Pavilion KL is among the 1st Supercharger locations with as much as 8 charging bays.
Local YouTuber, Dennis Lim Ming recently shared his experience of exploring the Tesla options on its official website and after making his decision, he ordered himself a Tesla SUV Model Y, which cost him RM199,000.
With that, a 10% down payment (RM20,400) is needed and after that, Dennis will have to pay a monthly installment of RM3,420. That’s a monthly salary of many working class in the Klang Valley.
Days later, Dennis shared some pictures of him participating in the Tesla’s roadshow which was recently held in KL. In his caption, he said that he was there to pick up his car, but is the waiting time really that short?
Of course it wasn’t. Surprisingly, many Malaysians can afford to buy a Tesla and according to Dennis, he is scheduled to get his car sometime next year. However, he did not disclose the exact month or date. He was there merely to get a gist of what it’s like to drive a Tesla when the time comes for him.
Dennis, however, did not choose the one with autopilot feature.
Dennis’ posts on IG gained many attention from his followers, who are mostly envious that the YouTuber might be among the 1st Malaysians to drive a Tesla following its launch in the Malaysian market.
“Can I drive when you get it?”
“Can you do a giveaway?”
“Bro, can you drive to us and just let us touch it?”
“I doubt the paparazzi can catch up with you next time.”
“You’re among the first to experience Tesla.”
To the Tesla fans out there, how did you feel when you joined the roadshow? To those who can afford it, have you ordered yours?
