Fully Developed Fetus Found Dead in Toilet Bowl at Johor Gas Station

A shocking discovery was made in the restroom of a gas station in Pontian, Johor, where a deceased female fetus was found inside a toilet bowl.

The discovery was made at 9 am on Friday (June 13) by a gas station employee, who immediately contacted the police upon finding the fetus.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene to carefully remove the fully developed fetus, which was then sent to the forensic unit at Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) for a post-mortem examination.

Pontian District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohammad Shofee Tayib, stated that the case is currently being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code, Sinar Harian reported.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a woman, suspected to be the mother, was seen entering the restroom, an act captured on CCTV. She is believed to be receiving treatment at the hospital. The CCTV footage is currently circulating on social media.

This incident follows a similar case in March, when a deceased infant was found in the toilet bowl of another gas station in Selangor.
