Malaysia is known for its amazing cultural diversity, and a recent video that’s been going around online shows how this diversity not only makes the country unique but also brings everyone together

TikTok user @anishahira22 posted a video that quickly won the hearts of many Malaysians, showcasing Dikir Barat performers rehearsing for a show to celebrate Malaysia Day at Dataran Merdeka.

They danced to “Dikir Seribu Erti”

For those of you who didn’t know, Dikir Barat is a traditional genre of Malay music that originated in Kelantan and incorporates poetry, chanting, and singing.

In the video, a group of foreigners were seen enthusiastically mimicking the movements and happily joining the performers to sing the famous song called “Dikir Seribu Erti” by Halim Yazid.

This video has garnered 420.5K views and 32.3K likes as of the time of writing, with tons of users sharing their excitement about seeing foreigners appreciating the culture.
