A pet dog was successfully rescued by firefighters after it was believed to have gotten stuck inside a massage chair machine at a house in Taman Malim Jaya, Melaka on Friday (21 November).
Senior Fire Superintendent II Mohd. Shahrom Laji, Assistant Director of Operations for the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Melaka, said they received an emergency call at 8:18 AM.

“A Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) from the Melaka Tengah Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) along with six personnel was dispatched to the location to provide special assistance,” he shared.
“Upon arrival, we found a dog trapped inside the massage chair machine at the house, and the team immediately began rescue operations,” he said when contacted today.
He said the team found the dog visibly distressed, wedged between the massage chair’s mechanical components. The rescue process was successfully completed at 8:34 AM without any injuries to the animal.

“The operation required care and precision as the dog was stuck in a confined space,” he said.
The dog was apparently sitting on the chair when it suddenly got trapped in a hole at the base of the chair.
The operation was fully brought under control, and the team returned to the station six minutes after the operation ended.
