Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will serve the remainder of his prison sentence in the SRC International case under house arrest at his family residence in Langgak Duta, Kuala Lumpur.
According to Kosmo!, the confirmation was made by his lawyer, Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, during a press conference following court proceedings at the High Court on Tuesday (14 October).

Royal order received with terms and conditions
Shafee also said the former prime minister has already received the official order from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, which includes an attached document outlining the terms, conditions, and execution mechanisms for the house arrest.
However, Shafee noted that the specific contents and detailed mechanisms of the order cannot be publicly disclosed.
“This is because if the content is revealed, the public and the media will start making various speculations when discussing the matter,” he was quoted as saying.
When asked regarding the designated location of the home detention, Shafee confirmed that it will be at Najib’s personal residence located in Langgak Duta.

High Court dismisses 1MDB stay application
The announcement regarding his remaining sentence comes on the heels of a legal setback for the former premier earlier the same day.
The High Court dismissed Najib’s application to suspend the execution of his 15-year prison sentence and a staggering RM11.38 billion fine related to the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) trial while awaiting his ongoing appeals.
Judge Noor Ruwena Md Nurdin delivered the ruling after carefully reviewing the case documents and listening to oral submissions presented by both the prosecution and the defense team.
As legal battles surrounding his separate cases continue to unfold in court, focus now shifts toward the implementation and mechanics of his upcoming house arrest order at Langgak Duta.
