Yesterday, a small fire broke out at IOI Puchong, causing devastation to Chinese New Year decorations on display.

The incident occurred around 7:20 pm and was caught on video and shared on social media.

On social media, netizens shared that several individuals who used the available fire extinguishers eventually put out the fire.

According to the Selangor Fire Department, “The small fire did not cause any structural damage to the building, and there were no victims.”

This is not the first time a mishap has struck the mall, with netizens sharing that the mall was once flooded not long ago.

It is a relief that neither incident caused any harm to visitors or business owners.
