How revolting!
In a report by Coconuts, a family from Chonburi, Thailand recently noticed that one of their cheap cushions they have been using for the past two years was beginning to fray.
Upon further inspection, they were shocked to discover that the cushion was actually stuffed with shredded diapers and sanitary pads!
Shortly after that, the family decided to check their other cushions and were even more disgusted to find that all of them were stuffed with the same material!
What made things even worse for the family was that they weren’t entirely sure if the pads and diapers were used before being ‘recycled’ as cushion stuffing.
According to the report, pads and baby diapers are more expensive than polyester stuffing for pillows, which makes it highly possible that they were used before they were stuffed into the cushions!
One family member then decided to share her horrifying experience on Facebook as a warning to other Thai netizens, letting them know to think twice before buying cheap cushions.
Apparently, the family bought these cushions from a local market for just 50 Baht (approx. RM6), thinking the price was an absolute steal.
This is definitely an important warning for anyone looking to get cheap pillows and cushions at local markets. Think twice, people!
