While everyone wants to be vaccinated, there’s no need for queue cutting!
With the rollout of the AstraZeneca vaccine currently happening, Malaysians are undoubtedly excited to go for their vaccination appointments and even got the hashtag #CucukMyAZ to go viral. However, despite the efficiency of the whole process, this Malaysian found that there were many who were desperate to “jump the queue” for their vaccine.
Twitter user Fatin (@ftinxhrh) tweeted about how there were many “privileged” people who demanded to be administered the AstraZeneca vaccine despite not being registered under MySejahtera. They even allegedly forced the PDRM and RELA members to provide the vaccines for them.
“There was a point where PDRM had to make an announcement to ask them to disperse to avoid getting compounded. They had to voice out this warning five times.”
The doctors also added that there’s no way those who haven’t registered will be given priority. Fatin requested Malaysians to be considerate to the frontliners who have to vaccinate up to 8,000 people a day.
The Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) have earlier reminded that no walk-ins are allowed at any vaccination centres. The Edge Markets reported that the task force had developed a new mechanism to avoid wastage of vaccines without disrupting logistical planning at the PPVs, as well as to avoid congestion.
