A Malaysian man was left in an uncomfortable position when an elderly woman approached him, allegedly begging for cigarettes, while he was eating at a restaurant in Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur.

Netizen, sfh.reez, took to his TikTok page to share a video of the incident, to show how his friend had refused to give cigarettes to the elderly woman, leading her to hit him several times on the back before walking away.

In the video, the elderly woman could be seen apparently begging for cigarettes while standing at the edge of their table.

The friend then held his box of cigarettes away from the woman and refused her request. After begging a little bit more, the woman then became angry at his refusal and started hitting him several times before walking away.

She didn’t ask for money, she asked for cigarettes!

There were some who misunderstood the situation, assuming that the woman was asking for money for food, and encouraged them to donate to the woman.

Seeing this, sfh.reez took to the comments to clarify, “She wanted the cigarettes lah. Don’t expect us to give her cigarettes. We, too, should take care of her health even if she isn’t our flesh and blood. Who knows, one day she’ll understand why we didn’t give her the cigarettes.”

You can check out the video here.
