It’s very important to maintain your health in all aspects of life – including your sex life. Doctors have said that it is essential to have a healthy sex life because if you don’t ejaculate regularly, you could increase your risk of getting prostate cancer. Recently, disease statistics from Taiwan also showed that more than 27% of men in the country suffer from erectile dysfunction, which tallies up to about 1.2 million men who have this problem.

According to Setn, doctors said that for men who do not ejaculate regularly, this can cause stones to form in the prostate and may lead to cancer if the prostate is has prolonged inflammation. A director for the Men’s Health Centre in a Taiwan hospital said that the number of Taiwanese men who are suffering from erectile dysfunction may be higher than reported as many of them are shy about these things and are reluctant to come forward to admit that they have a problem.

The director said that some people may think that this will not apply to them even as they get older, but he said that this is not true. It is also important for senior citizens to have a healthy sex life as it helps to revitalise the mind and body, as well as ensuring that the prostate’s health is maintained.

The director explained that if the frequency of ejaculation is reduced, then it is possible that the semen produced by the prostate is not discharged. The minerals in the semen are likely to accumulate and precipitate, which can cause stones. This can cause inflammation, and in the long term, may cause prostate cancer as well. He said that if the other half is unable to “help out” with this, then he encourages men to solve it themselves. You know what I mean!

These findings have also been supported by previous studies done a few years back. WebMD had reported before that having more sex or masturbating more helps to lower the risk of prostate cancer because it is likely that the more often men ejaculate, the lower the risk of contracting the disease.

In the study, the researchers discovered that guys who ejaculated at least 21 times a month had about a 20% lower chance of prostate cancer compared to men who did it less, which is about four to seven times a month over several age groups. Although results are not conclusive yet and more research needs to be done, it is always important to stay active and be safe so that you will have a healthy body!

Take care of your health, peeps!
