Ismail Sabri was responding to a question surfaced by a reporter and said that he has received many enquiries concerning the allowed business operation hours for restaurants and eateries.

“There have been many requests to extend the business hours surfaced by netizens and members of the public. Some people only go out at 9pm to eat and restaurants are ordered to close at 10pm so these businesses incur more losses.”

As a solution, Ismail Sabri said, “the government has decided to let restaurants and other businesses extend their business hours to 12am.” Other businesses include premises such as convenience stores, petrol stations, sundry stores and grocery stores. The Defence Minister added that this ruling is set to take effect immediately.

Hopefully, this helps our small-time businesses generate more income int his uncertain economic time!
