DAP Johor chairman, Liew Chin Tong saw the lighter side of things when one of his Johor State Election campaign posters was vandalised recently, saying that the vandals actually made him look handsome. He shared a photo of the vandalised poster on his Twitter account yesterday, whereby a moustache and beard was drawn over his face on the poster.

Ching Tong, who is also the former Deputy Minister of Defence further said that as it was a blessed Friday, he chose to forgive the perpetrator. He asserted,

“It seems that some one has vandalised my election campaign billboard. On this blessed Friday, I forgive whoever did this. In fact, I feel that the beard and moustache makes me look handsome. I’ll consider it.”

Despite forgiving the perpetrator, the DAP Perling candidate stressed that the election campaign period should be civil and that everyone involved should campaign healthily. Chin Tong further said,

“However, it’s better for all of us to campaign in a civil and healthy manner, okay?”

The 15th Johor State Election is currently in its campaigning period with polling day is set to be on 12 March 2022. What do you guys think of the whole incident? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
