As a food vendor, it’s always a satisfaction to see the return of familiar faces or a long queue of customers to buy your food. It means people are in love with what you make, or at least are interested in what you have to offer.

How long are you willing to line up for food? A recent TikTok post by @perakpress shows a massive crowd lining up for a viral dessert – crepes by the famous businesswoman Kieda, who had her 8th tour in Malaysia, and this time, it was in Ipoh at the Meru Roundabout, right in front of the Hotel Casuarina.

Based on the drone footage, the crowd was already there even before Kieda finished setting up her stall, and they were happily (and patiently) waiting under the sun.

According to the post, some customers were willing to wait up to 3 hours for the Kieda, who does not only sell crepes but also other desserts. In Kieda’s social media post, some customers were also happy to see the businesswoman herself and many of them took the opportunity to take pictures with the founder of Kieda Crepe, who is also known for always mingling around with the customers during her tour.

Kieda’s 8th tour in Ipoh was a blast and success as announced by Kieda herself, and she is expected to continue with her 9th tour on 7 October in Alor Setar, Kedah. Malaysians, however, were baffled to see the crowd and shocked to find out that some people are willing to spend a long time lining up just for food.

“I think government offices have to provide crepes so that the public is willing to spend time lining up to settle their matters.”

“I’m seriously asking, is the crepe really that good? People are willing to line up for hours. I’m just asking and I’m not condescending.”

“Some people are even carrying their child and lining up.”
