Cosplay, the act of mimicking and dressing up to resemble a fictional character from movies, books, comics or video games have been increasingly popular over the internet.
Many have taken on the challenge to posting pictures of themselves, all dressed up, next to the real deal for the public to compare. Some are a far cry, some are good, and some…well hilariously funny.
Cosplaying can be an expensive hobby, as such one would have to be creative to make the best of what they have. One guy in particular has taken the art to a different level.
25-year old Anucha Saengchart from Thailand publicizes his passion for cosplay on his Facebook page, Lowcost Cosplay, drawing many fans who appreciate the art, or people that are just in for a laugh.
The page created back in 2013 has since garnered more than 700,000 fans following Saengchart’s originality in cosplay. Taking the practice a step further, Saengchart is known for using ridiculously low budget, cheap household equipment as props in his reenactments. And they are also the reason why it’s so funny!
Here are some of his brilliant works:
Groot
Donald Duck
Slardar
Pluto
Ryu
Davy Jones
Belle
Captain America v1
Captain America v2
Ghost Rider
Goku
Anna
Neo
Priestess of the Moon
Rinoa & Squall
Sonic
Guile
Titanic
Many have also taken to the page to praise him for being resourceful and his success in doing so.
“This guy has taken creativity to a whole new leve. After all poverty is not that bad. He replaced the “v” in poverty with “w”!”, said Bibhas S. Das from India.
“Very creative. If you actually look at those things, they are just within the corners. Resourceful at its finest”, said Maria Jamora from Phillipines.
“Too creative! and so funny! im waiting for more cosplay from you”, said Sherillyn Ayub from Malaysia.
