It’s no secret that there are a ton of stray animals in Southeast Asian countries. While many of these stray dogs and cats are often treated poorly, some communities tend to band together to share the responsibilities of caring for the strays in their area.

Hence, it is heartbreaking for these communities when they lose their ‘community pet’.

The อีซ้อขยี้ข่าว3 Facebook page recently showcased a distressing image of a community kitten in Thailand, after 2 Chinese tourists had allegedly stomped it to death.

They wrote, “These 2 Chinese tourists, look at what they did.”

According to a report by Khaosod Online, the little kitten was apparently walking near an alley in Soi Phaya Nak when the 2 tourists went up to it, stomped it to death and continued on their way while dragging their luggage behind them.

Netizens have since called for justice to be served for the kitten by tracking down the tourists and charging them under Thailand’s Cruelty Prevention and Welfare of Animal Act (2014).

“There are laws in our country. Protect animals. If we can find them, they can be imprisoned for a long time.”

Kitten 4

“It is heartbreaking to see the condition of the kitten. Let our Thai laws be sacred and memorable for these foreign tourists.”

Kitten 5

“Can’t the Thai law do something about this? This is horrible!”

We genuinely hope that the Thai authorities take notice of the poor kitten’s death and take action against the tourists for their cruel actions.
