After having been in a relationship with someone for years, you would think that you’d know your partner would love your pet as much as they love you, right?

A Malaysian woman is now learning the hard way that some people may not treat their loved one’s pet as kindly as they treat people.

Taking to the XUAN Play Facebook page, she anonymously asked if she should break up with her boyfriend of more than 4 years, after he had beaten her puppy bloody.

She wrote, “I have been with my boyfriend for more than 4 years. Apart from the fact that my relationship with his mother is not good, he always fails at work and has many shortcomings. Though, I have forgotten them all.”

“Last night, he beat up my dog, all over its body. When I came home from work and saw it, my heart was broken. My (fur)baby, I could never bear to beat it myself, how could he beat it so hard that its whole abdomen was bleeding and its eyes were injured.

The boyfriend tried to justify his actions by saying that the dog was disobedient, but then again, you really can’t expect a 8 to 9-month-old puppy to behave.

He said it was disobedient. But, it’s just an 8, 9-month-old puppy. If it got dirty, it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t want to clean up after it. I can come back from work and clean it up slowly. In fact, I have been doing all of this!”

“But, why did he hit it so hard? From last night until today, it hasn’t run or jumped. At night, I hugged it and laid on my bed, it was still whining and looking weak. I am really disappointed with this man now. Should I just leave him?” she asked.

Girl, the answer is absolutely yes. Leave that man.

We genuinely hope that the woman finds the strength to break things off with her boyfriend and report him to the authorities for abusing the poor little puppy.

What would you have done if you were in her shoes? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
