As working adults, we all have our bad days every once in a while. We are only human right?

However, what would make a day worse is when you have a ruthless boss that does not empathise with you on your bad days at work.

This manager from a store in China is a perfect example of those types of bosses. In a report by SCMP, last Wednesday (22nd March), her employees did not manage to achieve their daily sales quotas of 100 deals.

Because of their underperformance, she decided it would be a good idea to motivate her staff to perform better by forcing them to rip up their own money!

An unknown person witnessed this happening at the store and decided to record it and post it to social media.

Once the video went up online, social media users from all over the internet expressed their shock and outrage with how the manager cruelly treated her staff.

The video shows the employees tearing up their own 100 yuan (roughly RM64) bills, while the manager can be heard yelling at them that they need to do this or they would risk losing their jobs.

Some of the employees can be heard warning her that what she was doing was illegal, but clearly, the warning fell on deaf ears.

Soon after the video stirred outrage online, local law enforcements fined the manager 1,000 yuan (roughly RM641) along with a stern warning.

The manager justified her actions by explaining that she wanted to teach her staff not to waste the company’s resources.

There are many ways to motivate employees, but this is just cruel!
