Just the thought of a snake slithering its way into our house, or onto our bed when we’re asleep sends chills down our spine! If we happen to encounter the deadly reptile, we often run for our lives and call the firefighter for rescue work.

But not this brave man in Kluang, Johor. In his TikTok post, Qayyum shared a clip of him casually chasing away a snake from the storeroom at his workplace. In a situation where we would’ve run away, Qayyum followed the snake from the back and made sure it went back to where it came from.

“Turn right, and then turn left into the palm oil plantation!” Qayyum “helped” navigating the snake.

When the snake took a wrong turn, Qayyum even had the guts to “tell it off” before the snake eventually disappeared into the palm oil plantation.

“Bye, take care!” he jokingly told the reptile.

Was he not afraid of getting bitten? Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Qayyum said that it was not his 1st rodeo when it comes to dealing with reptiles. He has some experience in catching snakes, and the skills were self-taught.

“I trained myself. I actually tried to apply to be a firefighter where I passed the examinations but not the interview.”

Qayyum also told WORLD OF BUZZ that the snake he encountered was not poisonous.

“That was Rusuk Kerbau (Radiated Ratsnake). It was not deadly, so I chased it away and didn’t kill it.”

The brave man also told us that as many states in the country are struggling with the heatwave, the public should look out for the snakes too as they tend to leave their habitat to seek shelter in colder places.

“They appear in some houses too, and it’s mostly because they source their food there, like chickens and ducks.”

Bye Ular Jaga diri ? Selamat hari raya maaf zahir dan batin ??

Check your bathroom, your bedroom, and even your shoes. The scary reptile may find comfort in 1 of the places, and if you happen to bump into the slithering animal, don’t try to be a hero. Contact the fire department immediately and do your best to stay away from the animal.
