Since his departure from the world of politics, it seems that the industry has lost a gem, and many may be missing Khairy Jamaluddin. However, the former Minister of Health may not share a mutual feeling.
Malaysians are well aware that KJ is not only a radio DJ now but also the director of Johor Football club. Despite his busy schedule, his makes time for his weekly podcast and interview. In a recent interview with TikToker Mekyun, which was uploaded on her IG account @mekyunn, KJ was asked if he actually enjoys being a radio DJ or prefers to be back in politics. His answer may come as a surprise to many Malaysians.
“I plan to be a…”
KJ casually (and honestly) told Mekyun that he doesn’t miss being a politican.
“I’ve left politics and to be honest, it’s pretty fun to be a radio DJ, and I don’t really miss being a politician,” KJ admitted.
There’s nothing wrong with that. Everyone leaves a workplace for a reason, and when asked about his future plan, KJ excitedly told Mekyun about what’s on his mind.
“I am actually planning to be an actor.”
If that’s the case, KJ will not be the 1st politician to be involved in the entertainment industry. Jailed former PM, Najib Razak had a role in a yet-to-be-aired TV show, and former Minister of Youth, Faizal Azumu also had a role in a TV show. Our current Minister of Communications and Digital, Fahmi Fadzil used to be an actor before becoming a politician.
But KJ as an actor? Who knew the industry would spark an interest in him.
However, before that happens, KJ needs your help.
“What roles do you think I can play? Give me some suggestions,” KJ told the audience.
KJ also took the time to remind everyone out there to chase their dreams and be themselves.
“Follow your dreams and do what you want, not what others want.”

KJ definitely has the look and maybe even the talent to act. Fellow Malaysians, what character do you wish to see the former politician plays? A Dante-like villainous character from Fast X, or a humble, rich man character?
