Another teacher in Kedah has been accused of behaving inappropriately with a student. This time, a teacher has been accused of grooming his 15-year-old female student after their private conversations circulated online.

Malaysian former teacher, Mohd Fadli Salleh, took to his Facebook and shared the screenshots of a conversation between the teacher and his student, who initially entertained the teacher through WhatsApp, where their conversations happened late at night.

“Because I’m yours.”

As the conversations went on, the teacher got verbally intimate with the student and started sending inappropriate messages, promising to always entertain her, saying, “as long as you’re happy and need me.”

“Cause I’m yours,” the teacher added.

In their late-night conversation, both parties shared virtual kisses, and the teacher also told the student to look for him in his room whenever boredom strikes. In one of the screenshots, the teacher also said he needed the student to hug him to keep him warm, after he said he melted when the student said all she needed was the teacher.

The student played along because she was afraid

According to Fadli, some may blame the student for entertaining the teacher. The student, however, eventually admitted that she was sorry to lead the teacher on and that she was merely agreeing to everything he said because she was afraid.

However, she ultimately decided to be clear about how she felt. The student opened up to the teacher by apologising and admitting that she was only playing along because she feared that the teacher could harm her.

“I don’t agree with many things you said to me, and I’m sorry for leading you on because I was afraid you could do anything to harm me.”

“I never wanted us to go beyond a teacher and a student, and I don’t have feelings for you. I’m sorry.”

The teacher then told the student that he’s not a bad person and had no intention of harming her.

Teachers removed from educational institutions

In an official statement by the state’s Education Department (JPN) today (4 December), it was revealed that the teacher, who was accused of grooming the student, has been removed from the school.

A teacher from another school in the state also received a similar fate after he was accused of asking a 17-year-old female student to button his shirt, among other inappropriate words.

“Action has been taken to remove the teacher involved from the Ministry of Education’s educational institution until the investigation is complete,” JPN Kedah assured in its statement.

According to Fadli’s post, a police report has been lodged against both teachers.
