We all have that one teacher we disliked back in school. However, there was probably nothing we could do about it, but not for these brave children.

A group of primary school pupils have had enough of their lazy teacher and decided to stage a protest demanding for the teacher to be expelled. This rather interesting incident took place at Anuban La-ngu primary school in Satun province, Thailand.

In the morning of 21 June, a group of high-spirited pupils waited for their teacher Chantana Sutaphanit to arrive, not to help her with the bags, but to let her know just how lousy of a teacher she was.

The children immediately surrounded the car with the teacher inside while their cute tiny hands were holding signs that read –

  • “Kru Chantana, get out!”
  • “I don’t want to study with Kru Chantana”
  • “I’m not a brat”
  • “Why do you have my kid massage you during school hours?”

The helpless teacher could do nothing except record the incident using her smartphones from her seat. This protest even garnered the attention of the local police who received a call saying that the teacher’s car was being blocked.

At 9am, the pupils were dispersed with no injury reported. Following the incident, a top official from the provincial education department visited the school to listen to the parents’ complaints about the teacher, such as:

  • Using profanity in front of the kids
  • Cursing at the pupils
  • Poking the children with sharp pencils
  • Neglecting her duty by talking on the phone all day

Now let’s hear from the other teachers.

Apparently Chantana’s colleagues have complained that they’re have a tough time working with her too. As such, the problematic teacher has now been suspended temporarily until investigation is complete.

At such a young age, these children have learnt “people power” and accomplished something that none of us could’ve done. They are definitely going somewhere in the future!
