We’re sure you’re aware of Mah Sing’s super popular (not to mention FREE) Arts & Lights exhibition that everyone and their grandmother have been Instagramming for the past few months. So, if you haven’t been able to check out any of their previous exhibitions (or would just like to check out some more), do we have news for you!
Arts & Lights is back once again with their fourth installment and this time, the theme is all about our well-loved fairy tales! From Peter Pan to The Little Mermaid, this exhibition is sure to bring out your inner child!
So, curious but don’t know what to expect? Well, for starters, there are over 10 installations this time around, and you can expect them to entice all five of the senses (taste, touch, smell, sight, and sound).
We got the pleasure to view some of their exhibits recently, so here are just some of our personal favourites we definitely recommend checking out!
1. A Sprinkle of Fairy Dust
Alright, there’s no point trying to hide it – we’re absolute suckers for colour and anything shiny. So, if you’re anything like us, you’ll be stoked to know that this time around, the Arts and Lights exhibition has a room filled with glittery rainbow confetti (or fairy dust in this case!) that you can play with.
This is the perfect spot for budding photographers to experiment with colours and angles, and you’re almost guaranteed to get a beautiful shot. It’s like what the experts always say, everything looks better with some glitter thrown into the mix!
2. Secret Garden
So, not too big on glitter and bright colours, but fancy more pastel hues instead? Then you should definitely check out the Secret Garden exhibit!
Filled with beautiful flowers in different, delicate shades of pink cascading from the ceiling adorned with adorable woodland creatures, the Secret Garden definitely gives off those Snow White vibes. (Protip: taking pictures through the cascading flowers really give your photos a beautiful new dimension!)
3. Briar Rose’s Room
Not into a lot of colour and prefer minimalism instead? Don’t worry because Briar Rose’s Room has got you covered!
Decorated in all-white furniture, this exhibit is the perfect place to experiment with angles and dimensions. Plus, you can even purchase 4 rose stickers for only RM2 to place them anywhere you want around the room for a subtle pop of colour. BTW, portions of these proceeds will be donated to Mah Sing Foundation!
4. In The Stars
The moment you step into this room, you’ll feel as if you’ve entered a different realm filled with blue and white stars. The room is not just beautiful, but educational as well!
Not only is this room surrounded by sparkling blue lights that resemble the peaceful night sky, but they also are adorned with famous constellations like Orion, Ursa Major (The Big Dipper), Ursa Minor (The Little Dipper), Perseus, Andromeda, and Pegasus.
5. A Siren’s Call
If you’re anything like us, then there’s definitely a special place in your heart for all things mermaid-themed!
A Siren’s Call lets you live out your fantasy of being an actual mermaid – yes, there are mermaid tails you can wear and pose in. We’re not joking!
So, always wanted to lay around luxuriously with your tail in the air just like Ariel and her sisters? Now’s your chance! Just look at one of our boys rocking his merman’s tail! 😛 Sexay right?
Can’t wait to check it out? Then start paying this place a visit and go wild with your camera! Plus, it’s the perfect place for kids and families too! Quality time anyone? <3
