When you’re upset with your family member or partner, it’s understandable if you’re seeking a personal space and being “off the grid” for some time as a coping mechanism. How long do you see yourself taking a break before addressing the crisis calmly?
Malaysian entrepreneur, Dato Aliff Syukri takes his coping mechanism and personal space and little further from everyone. In an Instagram post by Malaysian singer @ifa_raziah, Aliff’s wife, Datin Shahida revealed that Aliff went missing in action last month after the pair argued.
Aliff went all the way to Australia after getting merajuk with his wife.
“Actually, we were having a fight. I was looking for him and then I realised he ran away from home.”
Shahida shared the incident when she met Ifa at KLCC, where the singer asked about Aliff’s absence during an event in which he promised to attend but eventually bailed out without notifying anyone.
Aliff then admitted he was indeed abroad during the event.
“I was not in Malaysia. I was in Australia and I skipped all schedule events. I didn’t go to any of them.”
Shahida, however, did not reveal what happened between Aliff and her that caused a fight. However, Ifa was not hiding her feelings about Aliff’s disappearance and his absence during the event.
“I was so angry. I waited 3 days for Aliff!”
Another Malaysian entrepreneur, Sajat, who flee Malaysia to seek shelter in Australia was also randomly mentioned in Ifa and Aliff’s conversation as a joke.
“Tell me. Did you go and see Sajat in Australia?” Ifa asked Aliff, to which he smiled and said no.
Aliff promised to attend an event with Ifa Raziah on March 29, the timeline when Aliff had to deal with the consequences of the backlash over his controversial Raya song. The song had been removed on the “order” of his mum.
Do you think Aliff’s last-minute plan to Australia had something to do with the stress about the controversy?
