Just as the bushes that were burnt to the ground in the Australian forest fires start to once again put down roots and bloom, the disasters of 2020 strike again.
The neighbourhoods of Lake Conjola, New South Wales, which were devastated by the recent raging bush fires are now underwater, with animals struggling to stay afloat and save themselves from drowning.
Extreme rains are to be blamed for the flooding as the public has resorted to small boats and kayaks to get around. Unfortunately, animals don’t have that luxury.
A kangaroo was spotted struggling to hop and swim through the waters.
The rain came down just 6 weeks after Lake Conjola experienced extreme fire over New Year’s Eve, causing 89 families to lose their homes, as according to the Daily Mail.
Let’s hope all the animals manage to get to higher ground and that no one gets hurt.
Australia can’t seem to catch a break.
