As we all know, Malaysia is currently experiencing a heat wave that will last until the end of March. For most of us who have lived in this country throughout our lives, the heat these days can be unbearable. Now, imagine yourself working in the intense heat. Sanggup ke?

Imagine yourself as an abang posmen. Riding the bike, under the hot sun or in the rain, just to make sure someone gets the parcel that they’ve ordered in time. Sometimes we forget the struggle that these unsung heroes go through in servicing us.

Recently a Facebook user, Jannah Othman shared photos that she took of a Pos Malaysia worker who was taking shade from the blistering hot sun to call a customer in order to send a parcel.

From the photos, we can clearly see that the postman had to find some shade because the weather is too hot and the sun is shining too bright that he cannot see the writings on the paper that he was holding. Maybe he needs some time off the heat too. It’s okay abang, we understand.

The post has prompted netizens to share their appreciation towards all postmen.

Sometimes we take for granted our ability to work inside an air-conditioned office or from the comfort of our own home. Sometimes we need to be reminded that we should be thankful and also appreciate what we might have overlooked. To everyone involved in the delivery service, we would like to thank you for doing your jobs at your very best! And guys, please don’t take the service of these people for granted!

In case you are wondering how hot it will be these next couple of months, here’s more information on it below.
