Coldplay concert tickets have been available for sale this morning, and those who have yet to get their hands on the tickets, try their best to do so. In the meantime, those who don’t think it’s a good idea to welcome Coldplay into the country continue to preach their reasons.

As for the local rapper and singer, Caprice, he believes that it shouldn’t be a problem for the British band to step foot in Malaysia, but on 1 condition – if and only if they follow the house rules.

“As long as they respect the rules and cultures of the country, I don’t see why not,” Caprice said.

Coldplay’s upcoming performance in Malaysia raised a debate among some communities recently when images of them waving the rainbow flag in other countries went viral on social media. To Caprice, as long as Coldplay keeps the flag to themselves during their performance at Bukit Jalil, KL, then Malaysians have nothing to worry about.

“As long as they don’t wave the rainbow flag, in God’s will, things should be fine.”

While Caprice is not against the band coming to KL for a show, he also highlighted that religious events can be held without any issues to ensure harmony within all communities.

“We can have entertainment and religious events going on at the same time. No problem.”

In response to those criticising the government for greenlighting Coldplay’s performance in Malaysia, Caprice went on to point out that a different government had also approved Billie Eilish’s performance in KL last year.

“If you’re saying the government today is useless, what about the one that approved Billie Eilish’s concert? Who’s gonna form a government then?”

It’s just like visiting, where as a guest, we’re expected to follow the rules of the house. Do you agree with Caprice’s take on this matter?
