Since the transition into endemicity, the world has reopened its borders and welcomed tourists from around the world. Since then, many visitors have chosen Malaysia as their destination too. A vlogger from China recently visited Malaysia again after 3 years without travelling, and she had nothing but fond words to say about our country.

In her YouTube video, Vivi said that it was easy for her to apply for the visa as it only involved an online application. Malaysia was her first choice after she had not travelled for 3 years, and said that the country is perfect for those who are travelling abroad for the first time.

“Malaysia was also the place I visited for my graduation trip back then,” Vivi added.

“Buy 1 free 3”

The cultures and food in Malaysia have, no doubt, been the “marketing strategy” to attract foreign visitors, and it’s no different to Vivi. She described the experience of visiting Malaysia as getting 3 items for the price of 1 – the Malaysian culture.

“You don’t only get to experience the Malay culture, but also the Chinese and the Indian culture. It’s like buy 1 free 3.”

You’re not doing it right if you don’t try the local food in Malaysia, and of course, Vivi did not come all the way here without any plans to try the food. She knew that there will be a myriad of food waiting for her, which is why she believes that you’ll never go starve in Malaysia.

“You won’t starve in Malaysia because there is a lot of food options.”

Vivi stayed around Jalan Alor, KL, a place where good food is easily accessible. Aside from Chicken Rice, Vivi tried the local breakfast – half-boiled egg on toast and Chee Cheong Fun with Laksa gravy.

Vivi had only 1 complaint during her visit to Malaysia – the price of hotels which she dubbed “expensive.” To save costs, she opted to rent an Airbnb in KL. However, Vivi admitted that she enjoyed her stay in Malaysia and will definitely suggest the place to others. You can watch the full clip below.

Do you agree with Vivi’s take on Malaysia? Apart from the culture and the food, what else do you love about the country?
