Since Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim has taken the mantle of Prime Minister, it’s safe to say that former PM, Dato Seri Ismail Sabri now has more time for himself. He was recently spotted brisk walking at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, KL.

During his brisk walk, many Malaysians took the once-in-a-blue-moon kind of opportunity to take photos with him.

Sabri dubbed the day “fun and meaningful” where he got to spend some time with the Keluarga Malaysia. Other than brisk walking and taking pictures, Sabri also took a break by enjoying his snacks (sweet corn & Apam Balik) while sitting on the curb at the roadside. He even fed a few spoonfuls of sweet corn to one of the kids who was seated beside him.

A humble former PM

The former PM shared a short clip of his day at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa on his Instagram. Many Malaysians who saw the video praised him for his humbleness and willingness to spend time with the rakyat despite not being the PM anymore.

“Steady. Still out in the field despite not a PM any more.”

“Hopefully, Sabri will return as PM.”

“Sabri looks calm and chill but he did his job, unlike the one now who has lots of formulas but no results at all.”

“A kind person will have a lot of fans.”

“It’s great if every famous person can do the same, so we’ll feel close to them. You have a big heart, Dato Seri. Thank you for all you’ve done for our country.”

“I’m impressed by Sabri’s personality. He’s very humble and he treats Keluaga Malaysia as his own. There’s love and sincerity there.”

You can watch the video below.

In case you missed it, the Keluarga Malaysia concept was introduced in early 2022 by Dato Seri Ismail Sabri, which consisted of 3 main cores – inclusivity, common ground, and contentment. Despite his departure as the PM, many Malaysians are still thankful that Sabri is still practising the concept wherever he goes.

What do you think of Sabri’s performance as the PM when he was in tenure?
