Following the recent prevention of 200 Rohingyans trying to enter the country illegally by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) C-130H surveillance aircraft, Kor Risik Diraja (Royal Intelligence Corps) has recently taken to social media warning Malaysians that there may be more incidences like this in the future.

Published on Kor Risik Diraja’s Facebook page, it was announced that Malaysia is currently under the threat of illegal immigrants entering the country, taking advantage of the Movement Control Order (MCO) set in place.

“Just like Covid-19, they are not welcome here and their presence will only spell trouble for us all.”

They really mean business, don’t they?

Coupled with the warning, Kor Risik Diraja has also urged Malaysians to provide any information they may have on the matter.

To make things sound more official, the posting also mentioned a recent report by Markas Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) to be wary of boats breaching national waters to bring in illegal immigrants through smuggling routes.

Concerned with issues relating to national security and the possible spread of Covid-19, the statement writes, “With their poor settlements and living conditions… it is strongly feared that undocumented migrants who try to enter Malaysia either by land or sea will bring (Covid-19) into the country.”

Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador has earlier revealed that there may be attempts to traffic illegal immigrants into the country through smuggling routes, adding that many are attempting to flee their homeland and risk getting caught, to receive food and care whilst in custody here.

Calling all Malaysians to help contribute to the information pool, concerned citizens can step up and provide information to the Malaysian Control Centre (MCC) Bukit Aman via phone at 03-22663333/03-22663444 or email to mcc@rmp.gov.my.
