There is a very high possibility that we’ve already littered so much that we may never be able to clean up the mess we’ve made.
That is, unless we put in extraordinary efforts to ensure no more trash goes on our streets, parks and waterways.

Netizen, Tze Wei Tai took to his Facebook page to showcase a jetty in Kota Kinabalu in which has been flooded with rubbish.

It is ridiculously sad to know that there are layers of trash not only flooding up jetties and shores all over Malaysia but also out at sea because it causes a blockage against sunlight reaching the waters below, where sea life requires sunlight to keep their ecosystem going.
Not to mention, fishes may see tiny particles of plastics and so forth floating off from these patches of trash and assume it’s food.

Hence, not only are we effecting the livelihood of fishing communities, but we’re also killing off marine ecosystems.
If this keeps going on, the great Pacific garbage patch will end up becoming the great overall ocean patch, covering the entire planet.
It’s about time we do something about it.
