Yesterday, (7 August 2018), a parliament dispute made headlines when BN’s Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin dropped the F-bomb after Puncak Borneo MP Willie Mongin made a reference to a rumour of Bung being spotted in a casino.

During the argument, Bung also called Willie a “gangster” and challenged him to a one-on-one fight outside of the hall. Whoa, watch out we have got a badass over here!

In response to Bung’s “invitation”, the PKR lawmaker has accepted his challenge and took to Twitter to declare his willingness to battle it out in the ring. #thuglife

His Twitter post read,

“Too many blunders from Kinabatangan in the Parliament. If he insists on fighting, I accept his challenge to go one-on-one in the ring.”

Belum cuba, belum tau (you won’t know till you have tried)… feeling strong. Just let me know the date and the time, Bung.”

In other words, he’s saying “Come at me, bro”.

In a Facebook post, Willie then listed out examples of insults and vulgar words thrown at the Pakatan Harapan lawmakers during the parliamentary debates since day one. The words that he listed out are as follow:

  • Munafik (hypocrite)
  • Mabuk (drunk)
  • Kepala Bapak (your father’s head)
  • Samseng (thug)
  • F**k you
  • P*****k

Those aren’t nice words to say!

He then further questioned Beluran MP Ronald Kiandee for not calling out Bung under the Standing Order 36 (9) when Bung used the word samseng against Jelutong MP Rayer.

In case you aren’t aware, Ronald used the Standing Order 36 (9) – which states that the MPs shouldn’t make any references to the conduct and character of an MP during debates – and justified Bung’s remarks towards Willie’s question in the parliament yesterday.

Besides going off at Willie, Bung also reportedly accused Kampar MP Thomas Su of being in the company of prostitutes when Su defended Willie. However, Bung was forced to retract his controversial remarks against Willie after recess. Bung also wanted Willie to do the same but the Puncak Borneo MP was not present after recess.

Phew! It looks like the heat from yesterday’s parliamentary drama has not died down yet. On a much more serious note, we hope MPs will refrain from using profanities and insults during parliamentary debates because it’s simply disrespectful.

What do you think of Willie’s response to Bung’s invitation? Let us know in the comments!
