An e-hailing driver in Johor was reportedly assaulted by three intoxicated foreign workers during an incident that took place in the Seri Yaacob industrial area of Skudai, Johor Bahru.
The incident was shared on social media by a family member of the victim, Kelvin Goh, through a Facebook post on Wednesday night (10 June). He explained that his father, who is in his 60s, was attacked while carrying out the trip. According to the post, the passengers were three Myanmar nationals who were allegedly drunk at the time of the ride.

Passengers were allegedly told to fasten their seatbelts before the attack
According to the dashcam footage, the incident occurred on Tuesday night (9 June) at around 9:45 PM.
According to Kelvin, his father had allegedly asked the passengers to fasten their seatbelts, leading to a verbal disagreement. The situation is said to have escalated quickly, with the passengers allegedly shouting insults before physically assaulting him inside and outside the vehicle.

The driver sustained facial injuries and was left bleeding following the altercation. According to the photos Kelvin shared, what appear to be bloodstains were also visible near the driver’s seat.
“My father is already 60 years old, yet he was beaten up by three people. During the altercation, one of his teeth was knocked out and fell into a drain,” his caption read.

A police report has been lodged
“You could’ve just descended the car if you didn’t like the trip. Do you think Malaysia is a lawless country where you can beat anyone as you please?!”
Kelvin said a police report has since been lodged regarding the incident. He also expressed frustration at the severity of the attack, questioning the passengers’ actions, and calling for strict legal action.
The post urged other e-hailing drivers to exercise caution when transporting passengers, especially late at night or when passengers appear intoxicated. It also highlighted the importance of installing and maintaining dashboard cameras for protection and evidence in the event of disputes or emergencies.
WORLD OF BUZZ has reached out to Kelvin for additional comment, but has yet to receive a response.
