The explosion hit a civilian vehicle
MAF also mentioned that the explosion hit a civilian vehicle on its way to Beirut and also damaged a bus carrying MALBATT 950-12 personnel.
As a result, 6 members of the MALBATT were injured, including 5 from the MALBATT 850-12 team, who had minor injuries, and 1 member with a suspected closed fracture to the left arm.
Additionally, 1 member from the MALBATT 850-11 team also suffered minor injuries.
“We’ll continue to monitor closely”
MAF further asserted that the member who sustained an arm injury was immediately taken to Hamood Hospital in Saida for further treatment by the MALBATT 850-11 medical officer.
“The Malaysian Armed Forces will be keeping a closer eye on the situation and will update the public when more details come in.”
