The 3 Damansara shopping mall confirmed on Sunday, 11 October, that one of their security personnel stationed at the mall’s Fire Command Centre has tested positive for Covid-19.

In a Facebook post, they said that the employee has not reported to work since 9 October 2020 after a household member tested positive for Covid-19.

The mall management reassured that they have conducted deep cleaning and thorough sanitisation of the areas visited by the employee. Cleaning and disinfection frequencies have also been increased in common areas within the mall and office blocks.

“Mall employees who had close contact with the employee have all tested negative for Covid-19. Per the Ministry of Health’s guidelines all these employees will continue to be self-quarantined for 14 days & undergo another round of swab test.”

They added that the health and safety of their tenants, vendors, shoppers and employees are their utmost priority. All high-contact areas such as lift buttons, handrails and toilets have been coated with an anti-microbial disinfectant. Another round of cleaning and sanitisation of the public areas was conducted within the mall and office tower after closing hours yesterday.
