As Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said, the reason behind the whole of Selangor being put under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) is because there’s been a surge of Covid-19 cases popping up in every district.
For example, 19 police officers from the Cheras district police headquarters (IPD) have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
As according to Bernama, the Kuala Lumpur Chief of Police Datuk Saiful Azly Kamaruddin confirmed the news.
He said that a portion of the police officers from IPD Cheras are still awaiting their test results from the district health officer.
“Even though they (the 19 officers) tested positive for Covid-19, operations at the station and IPD Cheras will proceed as usual and will adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set in place by the government in an effort to curb the Covid-19 infection,” he said.
It is unsure as to how or where the officers originally contracted the virus from, but we genuinely hope that they all make speedy recoveries.
