To our Malay friends whose name is Hakim, this one is for you.
You probably had imagined being a judge yourself because your name bears that meaning, but a 15-year-old recently defied all odds by giving a “relatable present” to his brother. With the guts of Superman, the teen took down a logo with the word “HAKIM” from a government official vehicle and gave it to his brother as a present.
His brother, whose name is Hakim.
The excitement was short-lived because it didn’t take long for the police to knock at their door. The brothers were arrested by PDRM at Batu Caves on January 8 at their house, and the logo was also confiscated. The logo was taken down from a car that is used by a Federal Court judge, according to reports by Sinar Harian and Kwong Wah.
The brothers also scratched the car using stones, which caught their actions on CCTV. There is no escape for Hakim and his brother.
In a recent press conference by Sentul’s Chief Police, Ahmad Sukarno, he said that the brothers were on their way home from playing football, and they had pleaded guilty to damaging the government’s vehicle, which was parked at the roadside in Taman Koperasi Polis, Fasa Dua.
The judge’s driver noticed the damages and the missing “HAKIM” logo when they wanted to leave the nearby mosque after praying.
At the time of writing, the brothers have been released on bail.
There is a time and place to have fun, but meddling and messing with something that belongs to the officials is not the way.
