Zahid Hamidi: We Should Stop ALL Provocation to Promote Peace & End Political Instability

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim finally announced his government’s cabinet last night (December 2), and many Malaysians were shocked to see Barisan Nasional’s Zahid Hamidi elected as one of the Deputy Prime Ministers.

As for Zahid Hamidi himself, he sees this as a trust from the government by assigning him heavy responsibilities to carry out amidst the uncertainties of the economy.

 

“We can do this, but first…”

In a Facebook post early this morning (December 3), Zahid expressed his gratitude towards the PM and fellow UMNO friends for entrusting him with a position in the cabinet. He is also confident that the formation of the unity government will be able to solve the challenges and the crisis for the rakyat and the country.

But before that happens, Zahid believes that there is something everyone must do – promote peace.

“Everyone should stop the provocation that will disrupt the peace of the country and the unity of the people.”

The president of UMNO also said that the peace should not be provoked so that the government’s efforts in improving the economy will not be interfered with.

“Goodbye, political instability”

As united Malaysians, Zahid wants everyone to get together for the sake of a better future for the country.

“Let’s stop this politcal instability that has damaged the prosperity of Malaysia.”

In his Facebook post, Zahid also congratulated all the ministers who made it into the cabinet and expressed his confidence in the outstanding success of the country following the reveal of the government’s cabinet.

Saya dengan rendah hati bersyukur kepada Allah S.W.T diatas pengumuman YAB Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim sebentar tadi.Terima kasih diatas kepercayaan Perdana Menteri kepada saya dan rakan-rakan dalam Barisan Nasional (BN) untuk berada dalam Kabinet.Amanah ini bukanlah ghanimah (harta rampasan perang), namun satu taklif iaitu tanggungjawab yang sangat berat dalam suasana ekonomi dunia diramal amat mencabar tahun depan.Kita yakin kerajaan perpaduan yang terbentuk ini mampu menangani cabaran-cabaran perlu ditempuhi demi kepentingan Malaysia dan rakyatnya.Namun dengan syarat semua pihak haruslah menghentikan provokasi dan tindakan untuk mencetuskan kegusaran dalam kalangan rakyat.Usah diganggu ketenteraman dan perpaduan masyarakat serta usaha kerajaan untuk meningkatkan prestasi ekonomi negara selepas ini. Mari kita bersama sebagai rakyat Malaysia bermuafakat demi masa depan Malaysia yang lebih baik buat semua.Tahniah diucapkan kepada semua yang telah terpilih dan semoga gandingan semua pihak ini akan menghasilkan kejayaan luar biasa kepada negara.Kita hentikan ketidakstabilan politik yang telah banyak merosakkan serta merencatkan kemakmuran Malaysia.#deminegara#kerajaanperpaduan#titahagong

In the meantime, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS)’s Fadillah Yusof was also elected as the DPM.

 

Now that the PM has “unboxed” the cabinet and all the ministers have been appointed, let’s hope that everyone will carry out their responsibilities and serve the people so that Malaysia can be great again!
