Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim finally announced his government’s cabinet last night (December 2), and many Malaysians were shocked to see Barisan Nasional’s Zahid Hamidi elected as one of the Deputy Prime Ministers.

As for Zahid Hamidi himself, he sees this as a trust from the government by assigning him heavy responsibilities to carry out amidst the uncertainties of the economy.

“We can do this, but first…”

In a Facebook post early this morning (December 3), Zahid expressed his gratitude towards the PM and fellow UMNO friends for entrusting him with a position in the cabinet. He is also confident that the formation of the unity government will be able to solve the challenges and the crisis for the rakyat and the country.

But before that happens, Zahid believes that there is something everyone must do – promote peace.

“Everyone should stop the provocation that will disrupt the peace of the country and the unity of the people.”

The president of UMNO also said that the peace should not be provoked so that the government’s efforts in improving the economy will not be interfered with.

“Goodbye, political instability”

As united Malaysians, Zahid wants everyone to get together for the sake of a better future for the country.

“Let’s stop this politcal instability that has damaged the prosperity of Malaysia.”

In his Facebook post, Zahid also congratulated all the ministers who made it into the cabinet and expressed his confidence in the outstanding success of the country following the reveal of the government’s cabinet.

In the meantime, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS)’s Fadillah Yusof was also elected as the DPM.

Now that the PM has “unboxed” the cabinet and all the ministers have been appointed, let’s hope that everyone will carry out their responsibilities and serve the people so that Malaysia can be great again!
