Malaysia’s “number 1 singer” is back at it again and this time, Datuk Aliff Syukri invites you for a workout.
In a marketing post for his latest diet product – Kopi Mantol, Aliff promoted the product by showing snippets of him working out in the gym.
“Let’s exercise. I’ll train you, and hopefully it’ll be beneficial for everyone,” he said in the caption.
Aliff often managed to capture the attention of the netizens with his posts, and his workout clip/Kopi Mantol’s promotional video is no different.
However, most of the comments from the netizens were directed towards his workout, with little feedback and interest shown towards his diet beverage.
Aliff may have wanted to promote both his product and a healthy lifestyle, but he had no idea (or did he?) that his workout clip would become a laughing stock as netizens poked fun at his workout in the video.
What’s the point of the gym?
A netizen told Aliff to might as well just go to the playground rather than the gym.
“Is that an armpit exercise?”
A netizen sarcastically said, “I just found out that I’ve been using the equipment wrong at the gym. That’s so embarrassing.”
Another netizen jokingly asked if the workout is the training for the sequel to his flopped movie, Badang.
“Good to be healthy, but you’re exercising wrongly. Learn from YouTube or find a coach to prevent injuries,” said another user.
Meanwhile, some netizens took the opportunity to remind Aliff about aurat, and told him that the knee is part of men’s aurat.

At the time of writing, Aliff has yet to respond to the negativities, unlike when his singing was criticised.
Regardless, do you think Aliff is simply promoting his products, or is he really venturing into workouts? Fellow gym junkies, what do you think of his workout clip?
