MUDA is very active on social media platforms such as Twitter and their chief, Syed Saddiq is as well.
As we all know, the former minister is quite a debater and has recently invited the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Adam Adli, along with a PAS MP to debate on youth matters.
In his reply to the invite, the deputy minister said the stage now should be for those who are competing in the state elections soon and that he is open to the debate but it should take place after the state elections.
After receiving the “yes but later” reply, the Muar MP took it as a rejection and extended the invite to PH youth chief, Kelvin Yii instead.
The Bandar Kuching MP has since replied to the invitation on Twitter.
“I was just made aware of the Debate Challenge by @SyedSaddiq online as i was deeply focused on the campaign trail (actually he could have just pm me about it to inform me beforehand as we have been friends for awhile and i probably would’ve responded faster).”
In his thread, Kelvin says that he will be accepting the challenge but as he has responsibilities elsewhere, the debate should take place when it’s convenient for all parties.
He ended his thread by saying: “Looking forward to the arrangement, and let’s have a healthy debate purely focusing on the interest of the young people and the importance of bringing stability & shared prosperity to all in our beloved nation.”
This is certainly something that we will be looking forward to as well.
