Fan Bingbing‘s PR Manager, Jersey Chong, took the initiative to share the latest statistics on China’s WeChat searchers following Fan Bingbing’s recent visit to Melaka.
Melaka had 326 million searches on WeChat!
According to Jersey’s post, she shared statistics from WeChat for the 2 days following Fan Bingbing’s appointment as ambassador. On June 14th, “Fan Bingbing” garnered 334,883,965 searches, and “Melaka” followed with 165,082,653.
On June 15th, the numbers showed “Fan Bingbing” with 461,138,243 searches and “Melaka” with 161,972,679 searches on China’s WeChat.
“During the same period, searches for ‘Shanghai International Film Festival’ had 2,280,795 on WeChat, while the ‘Weibo Movie Awards Ceremony 2024’ garnered 3,472,115,” Jersey explained.

However, on June 14, searches for “Fan Bingbing” shot up by 331.65% and “Melaka” had an impressive increase of 14,838.04% searches on WeChat.
Fan Bingbing becoming the Tourism Ambassador has really made a massive impact on the tourism world. Her appointment has created a huge buzz, grabbing a ton of attention from her fans and followers.
