A frozen food outlet in Sungai Petani, Kedah, has responded to false claims circulating on social media alleging that the store sells pork.

In a statement on its Facebook page, AAA Mutiara Teguh Enterprise denied the allegations, clarifying that the misinformation originated from a specific website. The business described the claims as an attempt to tarnish the reputation of their establishment, which is fully owned by Malay Muslims.

Kedah frozen food outlet warns of legal action after claims that it sells pork meat

AAA Mutiara Teguh Enterprise stated that it plans to take immediate legal action, including sending Letters of Demand (LOD) to anyone spreading false information that harms its reputation or business operations.

“This information is false and misleading. The claim came from a website, which is clearly run by irresponsible parties trying to tarnish a business owned by Malay Muslims. In fact, the same website lists several other shops that are also owned by Muslims.

“For the record, AAA Mutiara Teguh Enterprise is a sole proprietorship, fully run by our family and children, and has no partnerships with any other company,” the statement read.

“All parties are welcome to reach out for a face-to-face meeting”

Seeking to clear its name, the business highlighted its community contributions, noting that it is a regular contributor to Zakat Kedah and is registered as Sahabat Zakat Negeri Kedah.

“We urge anyone involved to contact us immediately at 013-506 5413 to help restore our business’s reputation. We also ask everyone to share only accurate information in any WhatsApp groups or other platforms where false claims have been circulated.

“All parties are welcome to reach out for a face-to-face meeting or to review our official business registration with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM),” the statement added.
