In general, there are 2 ways people react to insect sightings at home; those who would scream their heads off at a glimpse of one and those who would fearlessly slam their hands down on whatever creature that invades their home.
However, this does not apply to bigger pests like rats. Do you know anyone who would catch a rat with their bare hands?!
Well, now you’re going to. In a latest TikTok video by Malaysian influencer, Chuithing Lim, a man and a woman is seen attempting to trap and catch a rat in their house.
Using a badminton racquet, a waste paper basket and a broom, the 2 tried to stop the rat with their tools when it came scurrying out of a praying altar.
However, it was too quick and ran away, causing everyone in the room to scream. Although, it eventually cornered itself at one nook of the room.
Here, a normal person would use the waste paper basket to trap the rat then figure out how to deal with it, right? But not Chui Thing’s kakak. To her, the squirming rat is nothing.
As soon as she got the chance, kakak picked up the rat by its body with her fingers as its tail wriggled helplessly.
She then turned towards the other people in the room, beaming from the thrill and pride of catching the rat.
“Kakak is the best. Catching rats with her bare hands”, the caption of the video reads.
Netizens are blown away
In the comments, netizens are amazed and amused by kakak‘s unflinching attitude that led to the capture of the rat.
“Kakak said, ‘In my hometown, rats are nothing’.”
They also joked about how she needs to get a raise for her extraordinary work!
“Auto renew her permit for 10 years. Pay raise every year. Minimum of 2 months bonus yearly.”
